During the AEW Rampage TV taping on June 19 (via PWInsider), Willow Nightingale faced Serena Deeb in an Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Quarterfinal Match.
The match saw Nightingale defeating Deeb to advance to the semifinals of the tournament.
With this victory, Willow will now move on to face her former tag team partner and best friend Kris Statlander.
In the other quarterfinal matches in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup, Deonna Purrazzo will face former AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida, while Mariah May will face Saraya.
Elsewhere during the taping, NJPW star Shingo Takagi defeated AR Fox in singles action. Post match, Bryan Danielson came down to confront his Owen Hart Tournament opponent for Forbidden Door.
Meanwhile, Lio Rush defeated Action Andretti to advance to the TNT Championship Ladder Match at Forbidden Door.
Finally, Rey Fenix pulled out a win over Turbo Floyd of the Outrunners. Fenix will compete in an Owen Hart Tournament Quarterfinal match against Jay White.
