AEW is adding a new show name to its growing catalog of specials with April 16, 2025, also marking a milestone for the company.
Previously, it was reported that a trademark application had been filed for the name ‘AEW Spring Breakthru‘.
Thanks to the March 23 episode of AEW Collision Slam Dunk Sunday, the first date for that show name has now been revealed.
AEW Spring Breakthru will take place in Boston on Wednesday, April 16, meaning it’s an episode of Dynamite.
Tony Khan would share details of the upcoming special, along with revealing a landmark for AEW, tweeting:
Don’t miss Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite 289,
Wednesday, April 16 in Boston, AEW Spring BreakThru! We’ll celebrate AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite becoming the longest running prime time weekly pro wrestling program in Turner Sports history!
Thank you all watching #AEWCollision NOW!
Starting on January 1, 2025, Dynamite has also simulcast on the Max, airing live on the streaming platform.
Spring Breakthru hasn’t been the only announcement over the weekend, with ROH Supercard of Honor also returning on May 2.
ROH Supercard of Honor marks the first Ring of Honor pay-per-view of 2025 with their last being Final Battle in December.
