Absent AEW Star Status Update

A new report has revealed the reason for former AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya’s recent absence from the company’s programming.

Saraya has been off of AEW television for the past month since competing in a four-way number one contenders match against Willow Nightingale, Jamie Hayter and Nyla Rose on the October 8 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that the former AEW Women’s World Champion is fine and not currently injured as far as they’re aware.

The report notes that Saraya is working other projects right now after re-signing a new deal with All Elite Wrestling.

Saraya finished a program with Jamie Hayter that culminated in a “Saraya’s Rules” Match at AEW Collision: Grand Slam in September.

It remains to be seen when the former WWE star will make her return to AEW TV at the time of this writing.
