AEW Star Accuses WWE Star Of Copying His Move WWE/AEW

An AEW star has accused a WWE star of imitating a move of his after it received a positive fan reception tonight.

After WWE’s social media team posted a clip of Josh Briggs doing a move with a caption about how he was “busting out moves that Booker T had never even seen,” AEW star JD Drake took to Twitter to air his grievance.

Writing in a series of Tweets, first:

“At least let them know where you got it from Josh Briggs. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”

Then following up shortly thereafter with more, sharing:

“I did this in 2015-16. Worked with Josh in Evolve for a few years. Guess I made an impression.”

“September 4. 2015 as a matter of fact.”

With Drake’s tag partner, Anthony Henry corroborating Henry’s details, writing:

“He has done this since I have known him. Never seen Josh do it until now.”

For his part, there has been no clear response from Josh Briggs as of time of writing.

Anthony Henry and JD Drake continue to appear in AEW as The Workhorsemen.

They most recently featured in a match on October 4th where they lost via pinfall against Dante Martin and Matt Sydal on AEW Dark.
