AEW
An AEW star has announced that they have been diagnosed with primary pulmonary lymphoma cancer of the lungs.
AEW’s Rebel has been dealing with health issues since May 2024, when she was initially diagnosed with pneumonia.
However, after a year of not seeing improvement from her treatment, she sought out treatment from the Mayo Clinic, who have now diagnosed her with primary pulmonary lymphoma, a cancer of the lungs.
She announced the diagnosis in a social media video, which you can see below, saying that she got the ‘best case scenario’ should such a thing exist in her situation, and that she won’t be able to undergo treatment for her cancer until she has finished treatment for an infection she is currently taking antibiotics for.
Rebel, real name Tanea Brooks, has not competed in a match for AEW for 3 years, but remains under contract with the company.
We wish Tanea all the best ahead of her upcoming rehabilitation for her cancer diagnosis.
Health update. Asking for your prayers and support 🙏🏼. I hope to keep you updated in my rehab journey. #lymphoma #cancer #nonhodgkinslymphoma #lungs #fnd #css #mycobacteriumabscessus #rebel pic.twitter.com/hi9fzKZQ9j
