An AEW star announced their retirement on tonight’s AEW Dynamite show after recently competing in their final match.
On last week’s AEW Collision Maximum Carnage show, Hangman Adam Page faced off against Christopher Daniels in a Texas Death Match.
The bloody affair ended up with Hangman putting down Daniels, before laying him out after the match was over.
It was reported prior to the show that the match was expected to be Daniels’ final match of his career, and he provided an update on his in-ring future on tonight’s Dynamite show.
Following Page’s victory, Daniels came out wearing a neckbrace, where he said that after Hangman’s Buckshot on him after the match on Collision, the doctors have advised him to never wrestle again.
Daniels then announced his retirement, telling Page that he won the final match of Daniels’ career, and he hopes that makes him happy.
