Popular AEW star and ROH Women’s World Champion Athena has commented on reaching historic milestone for her title reign.
At ROH Final Battle 2022, Athena defeated Mercedes Martinez to win the ROH Women’s World Championship.
For the past 12 months, “The Fallen Goddess” has proven to be one of the best women’s wrestlers in the world and been the face of Ring of Honor programming in 2023.
On December 10, Athena’s historic reign reached the one-year milestone as she has held the title for 365 days.
Taking to social media to comment on the milestone, Athena thanked her fans and Tony Khan for being along for the journey she’s been on for the past year. She wrote:

1 year of me!

Athena will defend the ROH Women’s World Championship against Billie Starkz in the main event of ROH Final Battle 2023 next Friday, December 15.
