AEW Star Feels They’re Getting Better At Promos AEW

Ahead of his first title shot in the company, AEW star Will Ospreay says he feels he is getting better at promos since his arrival.

Earlier this year, Will Ospreay started his official run in All Elite Wrestling after an eight year stint with New Japan Pro Wrestling. Ospreay has been world renowned for his in-ring wrestling performances around the world, but his debut on American television came with questions about his promo ability.

Appearing weekly on AEW programming has allowed Ospreay to spend more time on the microphone where he has shined with his promos so far.

Speaking with Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, Will Ospreay admitted that he is getting more comfortable with his promos since his AEW debut. He said:

“I would not put me down as a promo guy,”

“I still don’t, in some ways, because I’m still learning. Where my ADHD has been a constant thing, I always have problems with eye contact.”

“I really try to avoid eye contact a lot. I’m really trying my best to work on that and harness in on that and focus in on it.”

“The fact that I’m doing okay, I wouldn’t say I’m doing incredible. I would say that I’m doing better than what I expected.”

“I’m am proud of myself for that just because I’ve never been a promo guy. I’ve never even tried to hide that I’m a promo guy. I feel I’m getting a lot better.”

Will Ospreay will challenge Roderick Strong for the AEW International Championship this Sunday, May 26 at AEW Double Or Nothing 2024. For the full lineup for the event, click here.
