AEW Star Set For Big Championship Match

AEW Star Set For Big Championship Match AEW

An AEW star is set for a big upcoming championship match in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

At today’s NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed show, Tama Tonga put his NEVER Openweight Championship on the line against his challenger Shingo Takagi.

Shingo ended up winning the match, capturing his third NEVER Openweight Championship in his career.

After the match, Takagi took to the match, where he asked who was next to challenge him for the title.

The challenge was answered by AEW star Trent Beretta, who challenged Shingo to a match at the NJPW Lonestar Shootout show on November 10.

Trent won’t be the only AEW star set for the show, as Eddie Kingston is set to defend the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship against Satoshi Kojima, as well as Jon Moxley being in action.

CMLL star Stephanie Vaquer also challenged Mayu Iwatani to an IWGP Women’s Championship match on the show.
