Following the October 3 Collision TV taping, a new report has revealed AEW star Kris Statlander is set to undergo a character change.
At AEW All Out 2024, Kris Statlander defeated Willow Nightingale in a Chicago Street Fight. Since then, Statlander has been absent from AEW programming until making her return on the AEW Collision: Grand Slam special.
During the October 3 AEW Collision TV taping, Statlander appeared to start a rivalry with current TBS Champion Mercedes Mone.
Fightful Select (subscription required) confirms that this angle signifies that Kris Statlander will be turning babyface for the match after being a heel for a number of months.
After inquiring about the change, Fightful reports that Statlander’s alliance with Stokely Hathaway appears to be finished on-screen, as of this week.
Hathaway was seen watching the Private Party vs. Iron Savages match on the AEW Dynamite Five-Year Anniversary episode on October 2.
The report also notes that Statlander had been dealing with a minor injury, but just got cleared.
WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on Kris Statlander’s character change when they become available.
