Despite being the current AEW World Champion, Chris Jericho still occasionally wrestles for New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Jericho is a former IWGP Intercontinental Champion, and it does not look like his time with the Japanese promotion is coming to an end anytime soon.
According to Sports Illustrated, Chris Jericho is actually set to face NJPW legend Hiroshi Tanahashi at the Wrestle Kingdom 14 show in 2020.
The last time Jericho appeared in a NJPW ring, he attacked Tanahashi, and a match at Wrestle Kingdom will reportedly follow.
It is also believed that AEW star Jon Moxley will be involved in the show in some capacity. Moxley is the current IWGP United States Champion.
