WWE, AEW
An AEW star has commented on the “unfortunate” WWE departure of their former rival Dijak.
Taking to Twitter on June 27, WWE Raw star Dijak made the announcement that he was set to depart the company the following day on June 28 when his contract expired.
Despite only recently being called up from NXT to Raw in the 2024 Draft two months ago, and reportedly having fans backstage in the likes of Triple H and Shawn Michaels, the 37-year-old will now be making a fresh start elsewhere.
In reaction to Dijak’s post announcing his imminent departure, AEW star Keith Lee – who was one of Dijak’s most notable rivals both in WWE and in ROH took to Twitter to comment.
Lee called the situation “unfortunate” but was clearly excited for Dijak’s future post-WWE, writing:
This is quite unfortunate…. but it won’t stop that engine. The professional wrestling world should consider tightening its collective seatbelt.
