AEW
Following his announcement, AEW star Daniel Garcia has commented on the decision to re-sign with the company.
On the October 8 Title Tuesday edition of AEW Dynamite, Daniel Garcia returned for the first time since All Out.
During his in-ring promo, Garcia announced that he was staying in All Elite Wrestling after speculation of his contract negotiations and interest from WWE.
Speaking to Renee Paquette on Up Close, Daniel Garcia discussed the decision to re-sign with AEW. He said:
“I re-signed with AEW last week, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I’m 26 years old, and it’s one of the biggest decisions I’ve had to make in my life. I think I made the right one,”
“I wanted to let the fans know that AEW has a lot of momentum right now and the tag line, ‘Where the best wrestle.’ It’s the truth. This is where the best in the world choose to be.”
“(Kazuchika) Okada, (Will) Ospreay, Mercedes (Mone), me. All in one year. We’re putting our flag in. This is where we want to be.”
“We have choices to go everywhere. Obviously, these people have choices to do whatever they want to do in this business.”
“We choose to be at AEW because we believe in it and because we think it’s something that can improve wrestling for hopefully forever.”
Daniel Garcia is set to team up with Private Party to face The Elite’s Jack Perry and The Young Bucks in trios action on this Wednesday’s October 23 episode of AEW Dynamite.
