An AEW star has declared for the 2024 Continental Classic tournament following a big win at Full Gear 2024.
After re-signing with the company last month, Daniel Garcia set his sights on capturing his first championship in AEW, with TNT Champion Jack Perry being his target.
At last night’s Full Gear event, Garcia achieved that goal, dethroning the Scapegoat in what was the only title change of the night.
While he now finally has his first taste of gold after four years in AEW, Garcia has his sights set on more championships, as at the Full Gear post-show media scrum Garcia declared himself for the Continental Classic tournament.
The second annual tournament kicks off on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, with it also being announced that the bracket will be revealed today (November 24).
We will provide an update on the bracket for this year’s Continental Classic when that announcement is made, with only Kazuchika Okada and Garcia being the only two known competitors thus far.
