AEW Star Discusses His Frustrations With Not Being On TV

With only two hours of television time per week, it is hard for AEW to please everyone. They have one of the most talented rosters in the world but only a select few are used on Dynamite each week. One person who seems frustrated by this is Scorpio Sky.

Sky has primarily been used on AEW Dark of late. One of his recent promos featured him venting about not being used on Dynamite, which was then followed by him getting a TNT Championship match against Cody. Here is the quote from his interview with Bleacher Report Live where he discussed his frustrations, courtesy of Fightful:

“It’s obviously a little bit frustrating, and I think that kind of came out in my interview on AEW Dark a few weeks ago. I understand that we only have two hours of television time every week and we have a lot of talents to showcase, so you’re not going to be on as much as you’d like to be on. But I’m a competitor, man, and I want to be involved.

I think about it a lot like sports in the sense [that] I feel like I should be a starter in the year, kind of like, why am I coming off the bench? Why is this guy getting 30 minutes a night and I’m getting 12? So as I said a moment ago, I’m a competitor and I am I’m always going to want more. It’s that Mamba mentality of always reaching for the next goal and the next goal and the next goal. So that’s kind of what that was about. It was a little tongue-in-cheek, but there was some serious seriousness to every joke, as they say.”

Sky was unsuccessful in his match against Cody but he did appear on Dynamite this week. Together with Matt Cardona and the Natural Nightmares, Sky fought off the Dark Order.
