An AEW star has teased the end of their in-ring career, saying they “don’t have much time left” after a recent bout.
Competing for the first time in AEW on Wednesday’s Dynamite was The Hurt Syndicate’s mouthpiece MVP, teaming with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin to take on Private Party and Mark Briscoe.
The trio were successful in this group debut, with the match marking the first time MVP had competed on TV for a major company since July 2022.
Taking to Instagram after the bout, MVP posted a clip of the moment he hit his signature ‘Ballin’ elbow drop on Briscoe, saying that the “clock is ticking” on his in-ring career, before promising to give it his all until his eventual retirement.
MVP wrote:
Vintage MVP!!!! 2025 and I’m still BALLIN!!! The clock is ticking on my in ring career.
I don’t have much time left. But I promise to give you everything I’ve got until I finally reach the final match. 🫡

Following The Hurt Syndicate’s arrival in AEW, MVP publicly stated that he planned to retire in the company, something Lashley has also stated since joining.
