WWE/AEW
An AEW star has taken to social media to claim they would “embarrass” a WWE SmackDown name on the microphone.
In the months following his AEW debut in August 2024, fans have witnessed Ricochet undergo a drastic character change from the one fans had been familiar with during his six years in WWE.
Playing a heel has seen Ricochet perform great acts of violence, but it has also seen him take his arrogant persona from TV to social media.
When a Twitter user posted a mock image of SmackDown star The Miz and the AEW ‘All Elite’ graphic, Ricochet took notice and made a bold claim about his former WWE colleague.
Ricochet wrote:
I’d embarrass him on the 🎤.
Ricochet’s comments led to many Twitter users arguing with his claims, but the AEW star doubled down in several different replies.
Across their shared time in WWE Ricochet only faced off with The Miz in singles competition once, that being a Money in the Bank qualifying match on May 29, 2023, a match which Ricochet won.
Last Sunday’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view (March 9) saw Ricochet lose a chance to become the number one contender to the AEW World Championship, when he lost to bitter rival Swerve Strickland.
