AEW Star Receives Emmy Award Nomination For TV Role AEW

Former two-time AEW TNT Champion Adam Copeland has received an Emmy Award nomination for his role on a Disney+ series.

Since suffering a fractured tibia after jumping from the top of a steel cage at Double Or Nothing, Adam Copeland has been absent from AEW TV while recuperating.

While he has continued in the wrestling business at the age of 51, Copeland has also made a transition to acting and starred in the Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

On December 12, AEW congratulated Adam Copeland for receiving a Children’s & Family Emmy Award nomination for his supporting role as Ares on Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

The post reads:

Congratulations to Adam Copeland (@RatedRCope) on his Children’s & Family Emmy Award nomination for his performance as Ares on the Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

The awards honor creativity and innovation in children’s entertainment, and winners will be announced during the 2024 Children’s & Family Emmys ceremony on March 15 in Los Angeles.

It remains to be seen when Copeland will make his return to AEW programming at the time of this writing.
