Adam Cole made his in-ring return on AEW Dynamite last month, where he defeated Daniel Garcia in his return match, before Chris Jericho came to help his Jericho Appreciation Society ally.
After last week’s AEW Dynamite main event, where Jericho defeated Keith Lee, Cole came to the aid of Lee instead, replicating the scene from Cole’s return match.
On tonight’s (April 19) episode of the show, Jericho and Cole are set to go face to face, and Cole spoke about the segment when speaking to Headliner Chicago, where he said he doesn’t know what to expect from the segment.
He said:
“Yeah, so for anyone who’s followed my career, they know that Chris Jericho is a guy that I seriously idolized. He was someone that I watched and studied and enjoyed as a fan. So, for Adam Cole the fan, I’m very excited about this week.
“As far as what to expect, it’s Chris Jericho so you never know what to expect. I don’t know what he means by confronting me but I’ll be ready to rock and roll.”
Jericho is set to be a part of an upcoming meeting with Tony Khan, CM Punk, FTR and others as part of a discussion to bring CM Punk back to the company.
