AEW/WWE
An AEW star’s faction is seemingly set to break up amid rumours of their departure and a potential return to WWE.
Since joining AEW, former WWE star Buddy Matthews has been a member of the House of Black alongside Brody King and fellow former WWE star Malakai Black.
In the past few weeks however, both Brody and Buddy have been taking part in singles action, with Brody King taking part in the Continental Classic as well as taking on David Finlay at Wrestle Dynasty in the Tokyo Dome.
On tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Buddy Matthews took on Will Ospreay in the opening match, with Ospreay taking home the win, but he made sure to credit Buddy after the match.
Ospreay told Matthews that both he and Brody King ‘don’t need to follow a leader’, and that if he wants someone in his corner, he’s his guy.
Malakai Black has not appeared on AEW television since Full Gear, and he had previously lost to Adam Cole on AEW Dynamite, before seemingly giving a farewell to the crowd, which got a lot of people speculating about his future.
After one hell of a fight to kick off #AEWDynamite, @WillOspreay gives @SNM_Buddy and @BrodyXKing his respects
