AEW Star Files Trademark For Ring Name AEW

An AEW star has filed a trademark application with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) for their ring name.

According to the USPTO filing, AEW star Adam Cole filed a trademark application for his ‘Adam Cole’ ring name on February 14.

The filing description reads as follows:

Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts; Hats; Bandanas Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network;

Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer;

Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer;

Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes

After over a year on the shelf following a serious ankle injury suffered in September 2023, Adam Cole returned to action in October to feud with former tag team partner MJF.

Since losing to MJF at AEW Worlds End, Cole and his Undisputed Kingdom teammates Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly have been in pursuit of the AEW World Trios Championships, however, would fall short when challenging The Death Riders (PAC, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta) for the titles on last week’s AEW Dynamite (February 12).
