An AEW star has filed for a new trademark, potentially signaling a singles character iteration after a recent tag team split.

After breaking up his longtime tag team partner, AEW star Anthony Bowens could be poised for a new catchphrase as a singles star.

According to a filing with the USPTO, Anthony Bowens has filed for trademark on the phrase – THE PRIDE OF PRO WRESTLING.

The filing notes planned use for – Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts; Hats; Bandanas with the following description:

“Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer”

Former AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) have been teasing a tag team split for quite some time but recently made the break official.

On the January 18 Maximum Carnage edition of AEW Collision, The Acclaimed officially split with Bowens choosing ‘Daddy Ass’ Billy Gunn over Caster.
