An AEW star was ‘fired’ by company Executive Vice Presidents the Young Bucks during tonight’s episode of Dynamite.
The Bucks – Matt and Nick Jackson – competed in an AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator Match against the team of Matt Sydal and the company’s head of talent relations Christopher Daniels.
The Bucks scored the win as champions, and went on to make an announcement after the match.
They stated that Daniels was fired and would be escorted out of the building immediately by security.
This is another instance of the Bucks abusing their power as EVPs in storyline with Tony Khan absent from shows after they attacked him a few weeks ago.
The Bucks will team with Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry against ‘Team AEW’ at Double Or Nothing in an Anarchy in the Arena match.
Team AEW was originally comprised of FTR, Bryan Danielson and Eddie Kingston, but it was confirmed tonight that Kingston has been pulled from the match.
Later in tonight’s show, the replacement for Kingston was revealed to be Darby Allin.
