Following his recent debut, AEW star MVP has been announced to compete in first match for GCW Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport.

At GCW Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XI in July, former WWE star MVP made a surprise appearance and challenged Josh Barnett to face him at the following event.

On October 22, Barnett took to social media to confirm that MVP will face him at the upcoming Bloodsport XII on Sunday, November 24. He wrote:

The long history of training and friendship was explained and also revealed as the source of the challenge laid down between MVP and the Warmaster at Bloodsport XI.

Mutual respect and admiration was given, not freely, but earned through respecting the other’s strength.

That desire to test one’s strength now decides that a match must happen. A match where limits will not be constrained and both wrestler’s will use all they have down to their very cores, because what is more valuable than he who shed his blood for his friend?

MVP recently made his debut for All Elite Wrestling on the September 25 Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite.

Since then, the former WWE star has welcomed Shelton Benjamin to AEW as well and kickstarted a rivalry with Swerve Strickland.
