AEW Star Reveals He Had A Role In Nixed Season Of GLOW

Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling (GLOW) was a Netflix show based around the old school wrestling company of the same name from the 1980’s. It ran for 3 seasons before the planned fourth season of the show was cancelled due to COVID-19 complications.

Speaking with Talk is Jericho, AEW star Ryan Nemeth revealed that he was supposed to feature on the planned fourth series of the show, saying:

“I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, I was on the final season of GLOW before it got cancelled, so working on it with Chavo, it was awesome. We filmed one episode. Just finished one episode and then everything got put on pause, and we thought okay, in January, we’ll pick up again.

Nemeth went on to explain his role in the show, and how he was to be a recurring character throughout the season. He said:

“And I was a boyfriend of one of the characters, and I was thinking, maybe this is a one-off episode, but she pulled me aside one day and said, ‘I think you’re in the whole season,’ and I was like, ‘Oh yeah, that’s a big break. Wrestling and acting, that’s perfect. That’d be great,’ and then we just kept hearing, well, they’re gonna delay it more, delay it more. And then, hey, guys, we’re just canceling the whole thing. I thought, come on, just make a movie or something.”

Ryan Nemeth can be seen most week’s on AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation as a part of the Wingmen stable with JD Drake, Cezar Bononi and Peter Avalon.

Nemeth also recently revealed that the concept of the Wingmen came about because Christian Cage thought the idea would be funny.
