AEW Star ‘Hasn’t Slept’ & ‘Barely Eaten’ Since Losing Championship AEW

An AEW star says she hasn’t been able to sleep and has “barely eaten” since losing her championship at Friday’s ROH Final Battle event.

Just over two weeks on from Mercedes Moné’s ROH Women’s World Television Championship unification match win over Red Velvet on the November 19 episode of Collision, the pair faced off yet again at Friday’s ROH Final Battle.

Despite the disappointment of her prior loss, it was this time Red Velvet who scored the win – ensuring Moné walked out of Columbus, Ohio with 12 championships rather than 13.

While Moné managed to bounce back in style by successfully defending her AEW TBS Championship against Leila Grey on the December 6 episode of AEW Collision, that has apparently not been enough for her to get over her loss on Friday.

In reaction to ROH’s Twitter account posting a video of Red Velvet’s win at Final Battle, Moné stated that she hasn’t slept, nor barely eaten since the loss.

She wrote:

Please delete this or please just don’t tag me! I haven’t slept, barely eaten!

Her loss to Red Velvet wasn’t the only setback for “Ultimo Moné’s” quest for dominance over women’s wrestling within the last month, as she also failed to capture the AEW Women’s World Championship from Kris Statlander at AEW Full Gear on November 22.
