All Elite Wrestling star Eddie Kingston is right at home in his new surroundings. Since arriving in AEW in the Summer, he has worked his way to the top of the card with good matches and stellar promos.
It is not lost on Kingston that a place like WWE would likely not be for him. In a recent interview with TSN, Kingston stated that he would have gotten fired three minutes in if he went there. Here is his response to being asked about going to WWE in 2010 with Jon Moxley.
“No, because knowing me, I would have gotten fired three minutes in if I went when Mox went. Again, this is why I have a little bit of beef with Mox, because he started playing the game. I probably would have, at that point in time and especially at that age and what was going on in my life, gotten fired three minutes in because I wouldn’t bend. I wouldn’t have bent like he did.”
Now, Eddie Kingston will take on Jon Moxley at AEW Full Gear. The two will battle over the AEW World Championship in an I Quit match. Perhaps Kingston can take out some of that anger he still holds against his old friend.
