An AEW star is potentially set to be removed from an ongoing tournament after suffering an injury on Dynamite.
UPDATE: Penelope Ford confirmed that she suffered a torn UCL and will be out indefinitely, with Marina Shafir replacing her as Megan Bayne’s partner.
Following All Out, AEW officially unveiled new Women’s Tag Team Championship titles, with a tournament set to take place to crown the inaugural champions.
The brackets for the tournament were revealed last week, with Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata facing off with the Sisters of Sin in the first match of the tournament.
The other side of the bracket featured a clash between TayJay and Penelope Ford & Megan Bayne, though that match may now be up in the air.
On tonight’s Dynamite show, Excalibur announced that Penelope Ford had suffered an injury on last week’s Dynamite show, with her status for the tournament now up in the air.
We will provide any updates on Penelope’s status as they become available, and wish her a full and complete recovery from her injury.
