An AEW star’s significant injury is set to require surgery, keeping him out of action for an extended period of time.
On last week’s AEW Dynamite show, new IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley made the first defence of the title against Powerhouse Hobbs.
During the match, Hobbs suffered an injury, with Fightful reporting that it was a ‘significant’ one.
In an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), Hobbs’ injury is set to require surgery, with it set to happen imminently if it has not already happened.
Hobbs’ injury led to the title match with Moxley being cut short, with Bryan Alvarez reporting after the fact that Hobbs’ injury was a legitimate one.
We wish Hobbs a full and complete recovery from his injury.
