AEW Star’s Legitimate Injury Update After Being Removed From Dynamite Match AEW

An update on an AEW star’s legitimate injury after being removed from a match on last night’s Summer Blockbuster Dynamite show.

On last night’s Summer Blockbuster special episode of Dynamite, MJF competed in his first match as an official member of the Hurt Syndicate.

The match saw MJF team with AEW World Tag Team Champions Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin to defeat the team of Kevin Knight, Speedball Mike Bailey and CMLL’s Mascara Dorada.

Dorada was not originally slated for the match, with Komander originally the partner of Bailey and Knight in the match.

However, and angle was shot earlier in the night which saw the Hurt Syndicate attack Komander backstage, taking him out of the match.

The angle was shot due to a legitimate injury to Komander, and there has been more information on his injury.

Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Komander suffered the injury on Sunday night, when he slipped off the ropes while doing his top rope walk spot.

Komander’s injury is set to keep him out of action for the Fantasticamania show in Arena Mexico on June 20.

He said:

“He was wrestling on Sunday in Oaxaca and he was doing the rope walk deal and the Fosbury, he got all the way through the ropes, slipped when he was doing the Fosbury and essentially Ultimo Guerrero saved his life. But he was hurt.

“I don’t know the severity of it or anything but the last word I heard was that he’s not expected to be back for the Arena Mexico show on the 20th (Fantasticamania)”

We wish Komander a full and complete recovery from his injury.
