Top AEW Star Reveals He Hasn’t Spoken To Vince McMahon Since Leaving WWE WWE

A top AEW star has revealed he hasn’t spoken to Vince McMahon since leaving WWE.

In 2019, Jon Moxley left a multi-year deal with WWE to sign with All Elite Wrestling. Since then, Moxley has become a cornerstone for Tony Khan’s promotion as a former three-time AEW World Champion.

Whether in WWE or AEW, Moxley, previously known as Dean Ambrose in WWE, has been known as one of the most reliable performers in the entire professional wrestling business.

Speaking to Rick Ucchino of Bleav In Pro Wrestling Podcast, Jon Moxley touched on his last interaction with Vince McMahon before leaving WWE. He said:

“I think it’s kind of our thing. We take a lot of pride in our work and our work ethic and our standard that we set ourselves to, and the way we do the job.”

“To be one of those guys that’s like reliable kind of always there. The downside is it’s very, very easy to take you for granted.”

“In the last conversation I had with Vince McMahon, like real conversation, he straight up told me, ‘We took you for granted’. Soon, I was gone. Never talked to him again.”

As previously reported, Jon Moxley named Bryan Danielson “the greatest wrestler to ever live” elsewhere in the interview.

Moxley is the current AEW International Champion after defeating Orange Cassidy in the main event of AEW All Out.

Since then, Moxley has defeated AR Fox, Action Andretti and Big Bill in successful title defenses.
