MJF’s feud with Wardlow went up a notch on last night’s (May 11) episode of AEW Dynamite, when MJF laid the terms down to Wardlow on how to get out of his contract.
MJF has been making Wardlow face challenges on recent episodes of AEW Dynamite, which included matches against The Butcher, Lance Archer and IMPACT’s William Morrissey.
Last night’s segment took place in Long Island, New York, which is notable as being the hometown of MJF, so he received a hero’s welcome on the night, with Wardlow being heavily booed.
Leaving his beloved hometown for Dallas, Texas next week, MJF took to Twitter to put down the lone star state, saying:
And we are back to Garbagville USA Houston TX next week. Kill me.
This tweet got the attention of Archer, who responded, this time teasing doing battle ALONGSIDE Wardlow rather than against him.
He said:
@RealWardlow I enjoyed our Battle against one another. If ya need someone to go to War WITH you this time. Hit me up. Sounds like Max has a death wish in my Home state!
One person in attendance for last night’s Long Island Dynamite who wasn’t a fan of MJF was his own mother, who brought a hilarious sign to the show, mocking her son.
Many fans have wondered why AEW president Tony Khan does not simply buy Wardlow out of his contract with MJF, which Khan has now explained.
