An AEW star has said he’s leaving Twitter after many users had called him out for a perceived botch during this past Tuesday’s episode of Dark.
Joey Janela took to Twitter today, writing:
Hey, I’ve decided to give up social media. I never botched in my career, & I didn’t on AEW Dark. At one point these horrible humans on social media had me at the point of retirement but I’ve retracted that Decision. I will be handing my passwords to a management team,Thanks JJ
You can see the clip of the moment in question here, along with Janela’s response:
I never botch, No one can see this was done on purpose! my psychology is on a different level!

It’s worth noting that there is a possibility this is all part of a bit for Being The Elite, so don’t be too surprised if it turns into a skit. But if not and this has legitimately affected his mental health, we send him our best wishes.
