AEW star and former TJPW talent Yuka Sakazaki has suffered a legitimate injury during the latest episode of AEW Rampage.
On the April 20 edition of AEW Rampage, Yuka Sakazaki defeated Emi Sakura. During the bout, Yuka attempted a springboard move on the top rope, but stumbled off the rope awkwardly.
Sakazaki was seen favoring and limping on her leg throughout the remainder of the match and afterwards.
On April 21, Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that Yuka Sakazaki suffered a leg injury during the bout. He wrote:
“Yuka Sakazaki’s leg injury in her bout last night in Peoria, IL with Emi Sakura was legit,”
“As of this morning, the exact injury and its ramifications weren’t clear. She gutted her way through the match but the injury did change things.”
We at WrestleTalk would like to wish Yuka Sakazaki a speedy and safe recovery from her injury.
WrestleTalk will also provide any further updates on Sakazaki’s injury status when they become available.
