AEW Star Loses Potential Final Wrestling Match

AEW Star Loses Potential Final Wrestling Match AEW

An AEW star lost what may end up being their final wrestling match on tonight’s Maximum Carnage episode of Collision.

Tonight’s AEW Collision Maximum Carnage show kicked off with a Texas Death Match, which saw Hangman Adam Page face off against Christopher Daniels after weeks of issues between the two old friends.

The match was a bloody affair which saw Hangman score the victory over Daniels, before he continued the attack on Daniels after the match in what may end up being the last appearance of Daniels on AEW television.

It was reported prior to tonight’s Collision show by Fightful Select that the Texas Death Match was planned to be the final match of Daniels’ career.

According to the report, Daniels had been looking to have his final match for “quite some time”, so he could officially call time on his career.

Debuting all the way back in 1993, Daniels competed across a majority of the top wrestling promotions across the world, including TNA, NJPW, ROH, AEW and WWE to name a few.

In recent years his in-ring output had slowed somewhat, being seen on AEW TV in an authority role for much of 2024 rather than competing actively on a regular basis.

Behind-the-scenes Daniels currently serves as AEW’s Head of Talent Relations.
