WWE/AEW
An AEW star is set for a match against a WWE ID signed talent, managed by another AEW star, at an upcoming independent show.
A number of independent wrestlers were recently announced to have signed contracts with WWE’s new WWE ID program, which is set to provide a path for prospects to start a career with WWE.
One of the names signed was Bryce Donovan, who was trained by Create A Pro Wrestling Academy, and he has now been announced for a rather interesting match up.
Today, Beyond Wrestling announced that Donovan will be in action at their upcoming Heavy Lies The Crown show, facing off against current AEW star and former TBS Champion Kris Statlander.
Interestingly, Donovan will also be accompanied by another AEW star, Smart Mark Sterling.
Kris Statlander made her in-ring return on last week’s AEW Collision show after not competing since her defeat to Mercedes Mone at AEW Full Gear.
