Former AEW World Trios Champion Buddy Matthews of the House of Black is set to return to an independent company in his home country.
Various AEW stars regularly appear on the independent scene, such as Jon Moxley in Pro Wrestling REVOLVER and Konosuke Takeshita in Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling.
On November 20, Australian-based promotion Melbourne City Wrestling announced that AEW’s Buddy Matthews will appear at their December 8 “End Game” show. The Instagram post reads:
BREAKING NEWS – Former MCW World Heavyweight Champion @snm_buddy makes his highly anticipated return to MCW at End Game!
With AEW Grand Slam Australia just around the corner on February 15, what will Buddy have instore on December 8 when he steps into the Melbourne Pavilion?
In February, Matthews previously returned to the Melbourne City Wrestling promotion at their anniversary event with his history in the company dating back to 2010.
All Elite Wrestling will make their debut in Australia for their Grand Slam event at Suncorp Stadium in February 2025.
