An AEW star has reportedly been spotted backstage at recent Dynamite tapings after undergoing neck fusion surgery last year.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Trent Beretta has been “backstage at recent AEW Dynamite shows”.
No additional details were given about whether or not he was visiting or working in some backstage capacity.
However, his presence backstage doesn’t necessarily mean he will be returning to in-ring action soon given the nature of his recent injury and subsequent surgery.
In August 2024, Beretta posted about undergoing spinal fusion surgery having already been out of action since AEW Double or Nothing in May 2024.
Before being injured, Beretta betrayed his Best Friends partners Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy and aligned with the Don Callis Family.
We will provide further updates on Beretta’s AEW status as more information becomes available.
Meanwhile elsewhere in AEW, Will Ospreay is set to face off against a mystery member of the current iteration of the Don Callis Family, although he will not find out which until this week’s Dynamite (February 5).
