Former AEW Champion Given New Name AEW

On tonight’s AEW Dynamite, Christian Cage granted Luchasaurus a new name as well as a new nickname for Nick Wayne.

Christian Cage had an in-ring segment with his faction, The Patriarchy.

Saying that he needed to erase their failure from Full Gear with recreating them in his image, his ‘christening’ ceremony teased on social media began to unravel.

Christian Cage demanded Luchasaurus take a knee which he eventually did after some hesitation.

Cage told Luchasaurus that he would now forever be known as the name of Cage’s finisher, ‘Killswitch’.

Nick Wayne for his part immediately took a knee however Christian Cage told him to get up.

Telling him that he should never get on his knees for another person, he told Nick Wayne that he was his Golden Boy and he would forever be known as ‘The Prodigy’ Nick Wayne.

However, when Nick Wayne’s mom came out and Christian Cage went a bit too far berating her, ‘Killswitch’ got in between them.

While Cage demanded Killswitch get back on his knees and slapped him, he was unflinching as the crowd chanted ‘Luchasaurus’.

When Cage shoved the former Luchasaurus and it knocked him into Shayna Wayne, Nick’s mom, she fell to the mat.

With Christian Cage demanding that ‘Killswitch’ deliver a Conchairto to Nick Wayne’s Mom, he seemed poised to do so until Adam Copeland’s music hit.

While he ran out to the ring, it was ‘Killswitch’ that pulled Cage to safety, seemingly cementing that he’s still loyal to the Patriarchy.

After delivering two spears and an Impaler to Nick Wayne, he set him up for a Conchairto as Cage screamed, “that’s my child!”

With Shayna Wayne still in the corner of the ring, Adam Copeland then smashed Nick Wayne’s head between the two chairs.

Cage mentioned that ‘Killswitch’ will have a match on Collision this weekend.
