AEW Star Ready To Go To The ‘Next Level’ At Full Gear AEW

An AEW star is ready to go to the “next level” at the Full Gear pay-per-view.

Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. has become the top star for the women’s division of All Elite Wrestling in their three-year existence.

Starting out as the first female signee in company history, Baker won the AEW Women’s World Championship and held the title for 290 days. She is also the first female winner of the Owen Hart Cup tournament.

At AEW Full Gear, Baker looks to add to her legacy when she faces Saraya in the former WWE star’s first match in five years.

Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, the former AEW Women’s World Champion made it clear that having this opportunity against Saraya matters to her.

Baker believes that this high profile showdown at Full Gear is what she needs for the next step in her career.

She stated:

“I don’t take this opportunity lightly. It is a challenge I welcome. Saraya is a star. She’s one of the best wrestlers in the world.”

“Not everyone knows Britt Baker. Having a match with a star of her caliber is the next step I need in my career.”

Baker continued on to compare her feelings heading into this bout to how she felt ahead of her famed “Lights Out” match against Thunder Rosa.

She said:

“I feel similar to the way I did before the “Lights Out” match against Thunder Rosa. I knew the match had to be excellent. I’m in that position again, and I’m ready to deliver.”

Saraya first appeared in All Elite Wrestling on the Grand Slam edition of Dynamite and has been embroiled in a feud with Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. that comes to an end at AEW Full Gear.

The event takes place this Saturday, November 19 from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Full Gear will be headlined by Jon Moxley vs. MJF for the AEW World Title.
