AEW
An AEW star has not been cleared to compete following his AEW Continental Classic match last week on Dynamite.
The annual Continental Classic tournament kicked off on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, with a first round Gold League match between Darby Allin and Kevin Knight taking place on the show.
The match saw Kevin Knight score the victory over Darby to earn the first three points of the tournament, with Knight facing off with Kyle Fletcher on tonight’s Dynamite show.
However, also on tonight’s show, an injury update was provided on Darby Allin, with Excalibur announcing that he was taken to the hospital following his match with Knight last week on Dynamite.
No official word was made on Darby’s status, with Excalibur announcing that an update would be provided on Darby’s injury on this week’s episode of Collision.
In previous years an injured wrestler is removed from the Continental Classic, which happened when Juice Robinson suffered an injury during last year’s tournament, being replaced by Komander.
We wish Darby all the best following his injury.
