The partnership between AEW and NJPW is still going strong and Anna Jay has been confirmed for an upcoming match.
Last seen on the September 27 episode of AEW Rampage beating Robyn Renegade, Anna Jay has recently received praise from Will Ospreay.
Highlights from the AEW Rampage can be seen below this news story and came after Jay returned from a Stardom tour in Japan.
Jay has now been confirmed for a match at NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed on November 28, 2024.
As announced by the official NJPW Twitter, Jay will be competing in a four-way match to determine the next contender for the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship.
The other three contenders are yet to be announced but the winner will go on to face Mercedes Moné at a future date.
Jay’s recent tour of Japan saw her compete in the 5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Block A in August 2024.
Also set to appear at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium show according to the official NJPW announcement are Zack Sabre Jr, David Finlay, Gabe Kidd, Shota Umino, Yota Tsuji, KENTA and Tomohiro Ishii.
Zack Sabre Jr won the G1 Climax this year while Finlay holds the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship with Kidd being the STRONG Openweight Champion.
Anna Jay signed with AEW in April 2020 having had her first match in that month facing Hikaru Shida on Dynamite.
