It has been reported that Bobby Fish is officially no longer under contract with AEW after his deal expired and hasn’t been renewed.
Fightful reported last night there was word going around that Fish’s deal wasn’t going to be renewed, but it was unknown when it was set to expire, and even if the official decision had been made.
It’s now been reported on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that, as of today, Fish’s deal has now expired and he’s done with the company:
Bryan Alvarez: “It looks like Bobby Fish is likely done. His AEW contract expires I believe today.”
Dave Meltzer: “It sounds early because he started in October, but I know you’re right. It’s not ‘probably’ – he’s done. It’s confirmed, he’s done. Whatever the deal was, either he was not offered a renewal or he chose not to be renewed.”

Fish had recently been quoted in interviews with some very high praise for WWE head of creative Paul Levesque (Triple H) who he worked for in NXT, so the obvious speculation is that he could be on his way back to WWE, but that’s not something that’s actually been reported anywhere yet.
It looked like there was a long-term plan for Fish, Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly to feud with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks in AEW, but it obviously seems like that won’t be happening now.
