AEW Star Critiques ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Film AEW

An AEW star has critiqued the new “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” film.

The latest Marvel movie, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” has been an undeniable success at the box office, raking in over $500 million worldwide.

The film has also received rave reviews with audiences and critics having enjoyed the movie with an 84% tomatometer and a 95% audience score.

However, one AEW star does not agree with those positive reviews.

On the latest episode of the Swerve City podcast, Swerve Strickland and his co-host Monteasy gave their review of the MCU production.

Strickland said:

“They told a great story, to me, it was a good film. I’m on a roll, the last two podcasts, I’ve been getting a lot of Fightful Select news, this might be another one.”

“It was cool, it wasn’t better than Black Panther. For many reasons. It did have the impact, the full punch that I wanted. We’re in Phase Four, we’ve seen so many Marvel movies.”

“I’m not going to punish it. Of course it went through re-writes, it had a whole big missing part of the movie that it had to workaround and I thought they did that well.

“It still didn’t pack the punch that it needed to for me, but it was still a solid film.”

Swerve Strickland last competed in a loss with Keith Lee to the AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed at AEW Full Gear 2022.

Lee turned on Swerve and left his tag team partner hanging to officially break up the Swerve In Our Glory tag team.
