An AEW star has said that their former tag team partner ‘isn’t coming back’ to the company following their break up.
Former AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed officially broke up earlier this year, with Max Caster and Anthony Bowens going their separate ways following weeks of tension between the two.
Since the group’s break up, Anthony Bowens has yet to make an appearance on AEW television, though Max Caster has remained a fixture on both Dynamite and Collision, with him hosting weekly open challenges.
Caster has been defeated in all his open challenges, with wrestlers such as Adam Page, Jay White and Brody King answering his call, but Caster has now commented on Bowens’ AEW status.
On last night’s Collision show, Caster hosted his latest open challenge, with the crowd chanting ‘We Want Bowens’ during his promo.
Reacting to the chants, Caster simply said:
“I’ve got some news for you guys. He ain’t here, and he ain’t coming back, because I ran his ass out of AEW.”
Caster’s open challenge was answered by HOOK, who defeated Caster in under a minute.
AEW’s Slam Dunk Sunday special episode of Collision is set to air later today.
