Former WWE Star Discusses Potential Dream Match With Jade Cargill

AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone has discussed a potential dream match with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Jade Cargill.

In 2023, Jade Cargill ended her run with All Elite Wrestling and made the move to WWE. Since then, Cargill debuted in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match and is a two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion with Bianca Belair.

Meanwhile, Mercedes Mone signed with AEW after a decade with WWE. The former Sasha Banks went on to win the TBS Championship and NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship.

Speaking on The Battleground Podcast, Mercedes Mone recalled how before she came to AEW, many fans wanted to see a match between herself and Jade Cargill. She said:

“I mean, you never know in wrestling. I never cross paths with her. But every single autograph signing I’ve been to before I even came to AEW, so many fans were like, ‘I hope you get to wrestle Jade, I want you to wrestle Jade.'”

“I’m like, ‘Alright’. Then I came to AEW and she went to the other place but you never know. There’s a lot of dream matches out there in existence so, you never know in wrestling.”

Mercedes Mone is currently embroiled in a feud with Kris Statlander on AEW programming.
