AEW Star Potentially Turning Babyface Update

An update has emerged regarding an AEW star potentially turning babyface following Forbidden Door 2025.

In the opening bout of yesterday’s AEW Forbidden Door 2025 pay-per-view in London, England, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage reunited to team together for the first time in almost 15 years, taking on the team of Kip Sabian and Killswitch.

Killswitch returned to AEW following a lengthy absence on this past Wednesday’s Dynamite, replacing the injured Nick Wayne who was originally scheduled to compete in the bout.

It was evident from the early stages of the match that Sabian and Killswitch were not on the same page, with Kip ordering Killswitch around with little respect and tagging himself in.

In response, Killswitch played rough with Sabian, using him as a weapon on more than one occasion and at one point tagging out of the match by delivering a brutal chop to the English star’s chest.

The dissension between the team, coupled the strong fan support for the former Luchasaurus has many fans believing that a babyface tune could be in Killswitch’s future, and now there is further evidence that this may soon be the case.

In a social media exclusive video posted by AEW to Twitter, Kip Sabian and Mother Wayne collectively blamed Killswitch for the loss to Cope and Christian Cage, with both agreeing that it never would have happened had Nick Wayne not been injured.

Sabian said:

“I told you I didn’t trust him. If Nick Wayne was here, none of this would have happened. Cope and Christian would have been laying in that ring, instead Killswitch didn’t just let me down, he let us down.”

Mother Wayne said:

“You’re right, if Nick was here none of this would happened. But right now, we have to do what’s best for the family alright? We’ve gotta keep going in the direction we’re going ok?”

Sabian then reiterated that he doesn’t trust Killswitch, but does trust Mother Wayne and Nick Wayne, indicating that the end of Killswitch’s time in The Patriarchy could be near.
