Since his return from injury to AEW last year, Kenny Omega has mostly been involved in the company’s Trio’s division, winning the tournament to crown the inaugural champions alongside fellow Elite members the Young Bucks.
While Omega has had many incredible matches with the Bucks, namely the best of seven series against Death Triangle, and the most recent match against House of Black at Revolution, fans are beginning to miss seeing ‘the Cleaner’ in AEW.
Fans got a glimpse of the Cleaner back at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17, where he defeated Will Ospreay to win the IWGP United States Championship.
Following the Elite’s loss at Revolution, it appears as though the Cleaner could be on his way back to AEW, as Don Callis shared a photo of the two men on Twitter, alongside the caption:
Our focus is back. Be afraid
Don Callis has been scouting Konosuke Takeshita in recent weeks on AEW television, with the two seemingly teasing an alliance.
Omega’s future in AEW has been speculated in recent weeks, with Tony Khan adding additional months to his contract to account for his time out with injury.
