AEW Star Recalls Funny Story Of Sting Not Remembering Them AEW

An AEW star has recalled a funny story of Sting not remembering them.

On the November 2 edition of AEW Dynamite, Colt Cabana made his return to the company to challenge Chris Jericho for the Ring of Honor World Championship.

This marked Cabana’s first appearance on Dynamite since November 2021.

Despite suffering a loss against Jericho, many fans are wondering when they will see Colt Cabana back on television. If you don’t see him there, fans could see him at a local convention.

On the latest PWTCast, Cabana discussed working on conventions and how some wrestlers find it hard to remember those they meet including himself.

Recalling his meeting with Brian Myers at The Big Event, the Ring of Honor alum said:

“I did The Big Event with Brian Myers. A guy came up to him and goes, ‘Do you know who I am?’ Brian just goes, ‘Nope.'”

“I looked at him and laughed so hard. ‘Oh my God, did you just say nope?’ ‘Yup. I’m over it. I can’t play these games with people.'”

“I would have been like, ‘Oh yeah.’ ‘Nope, I don’t do it. I don’t remember you, I don’t remember you,'”

Telling the story of how AEW star Sting didn’t remember him despite a long conversation, Cabana said:

“Usually I’m like, ‘Ah…’ and the worst is like, ‘Where do you know me from?’ ‘Ah f***, man, stop being an asshole. What do you want from me?'”

“It makes sense because you probably think the same thing of, those moments are so special, I remember people that I’ve met and I’ve probably done that too.”

The former ROH World Tag Team Champion continued on to bring up his chance encounter with Sting and how the legend didn’t remember it when he came to AEW. Cabana stated:

“F***, I did it to Sting. Me and Sting had an hour and a half conversation at an airport on a layover together, I thought we became best friends.”

“Then he signed with AEW, I was like, ‘Hey, remember me?’ ‘Uhh.’ ‘I was in the airport, we talked for like two hours.’ ‘Was it about God?’ I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m sorry,’ then I just walked away. ‘No, hi, I’m Colt.'”

“To me, it’s like, ‘how could you not remember that?’ Then, of course, I put myself in his shoes and I get it. It was only a couple of months.”
