AEW
An AEW star has been pulled from the Continental Classic Tournament due to injury, with their replacement being revealed.
The 2025 Continental Classic kicked off last week on AEW Dynamite, with numerous matches across both the Gold and Blue leagues taking place on the show.
Among those matches was a first round Gold League clash between Darby Allin and Kevin Knight, which ended with Knight picking up the victory to earn his first three points.
However, following the match, it was announced on this week’s Dynamite that Darby had been hospitalised after the match, with an update on his status being set for tonight’s AEW Collision show.
On tonight’s show, it was officially announced that Darby has been pulled from the Continental Classic, with him being replaced in the Gold League by ‘Jungle’ Jack Perry, who inherits Darby’s 0-1 record following his loss to Kevin Knight.
Tonight’s Collision show will see Jon Moxley and Konosuke Takeshita face off in the main event in a Continental Classic Blue League encounter.
We wish Darby a full and complete recovery from his injury.
